Welcome to the arts education IDEAS website! As educators and parents ourselves, we are committed to powerful formal and informal educational experiences for children. Through our experiences we have developed activities and materials that allow children to learn through creative play and to develop their abilities to learn, think, and care.

We are particularly passionate about the arts, and their important role in your child’s development. As you know, the arts are now core subjects in pre-school and elementary age state standards and frameworks. Some home school parents are quite fluent in the languages of the arts, and some are not. Some are in tune with what is developmentally appropriate for young learners, and some are not. Wherever you are on this continuum, and whatever your skills, we are here to help make learning in and through the arts a natural part of your family interactions, and to help you comply with your state requirements in meaningful ways.
