"Parents of my students are completely unfamiliar with classical music. I put CDs of the music in the library for the kids to check out. One of the neatest things for me was to hear numerous students tell me "my parents really liked Symphony #6," or "Rigoletto was my Dad's favorite piece on the CD!" Wow - families are listening to these great pieces together!"   "I have nothing but praise for the Music Memory 2003 program. The lessons, overhead transparencies and cross-curricular activities were well thought out, effective and facilitated the students' acquisition of the material." "The children have been taken to a higher level of understanding of classical music." "After teaching Beethoven's Symphony #5, I overheard one of my 4th graders stating that 'This music is cool!' That is why I continue to participate in the program." "All the children clapped after every piece I taught them. The teaching maps were all excellent and helped the children learn the pieces." "Music Memory builds self-confidence, listening skills, improves concentration, recall, writing skills, higher level thinking skills, and a love for classical music." "This year's curriculum is FABULOUS! The whole school (grades 1-5) are learning it, and it fits in beautifully with a curriculum I have developed over the past 5 years with them. Most of the composers we have studied before using other listening examples, and these are just adding to their knowledge beautifully! Bravo to who put it together!" Hilary Tompkins Elementary Music Teacher St. Mary's Hall, Texas "We are enjoying the work hugely! Quite a number of the purchased CDs are for children who do not wish to compete, but who love and wish to have the music. To my way of thinking, that is success for the program!"
